Lima, PeruĀ – 24.-28. January 2018
And here we are, for the last stop of the trip. Lima wasn’t exactly a “must visit” location for me, but since I had to take my flight back to Rio from here, I decided to spend here some days, and also to visit Ica, a desertic area on the souther cost of the city.
Unfortunately all theĀ tiredness of the trip hit me hard in Lima. I stayed just four days, but the desire of visiting and discovery had already phaded out. So I came back to my evergreen: going to parks, enjoing the cafes, and this time even getting an hair and beard cut.
It was a good stay. I enjoyed my time there, having both the possibility to relax, and also to do some very mainstream activities, like taking a ride on a dune buggy in the desert around the very touristic center of Huacachina.
As I said this was more or less the terminus of my trip. I spent the last energies to enjoy my time around Cusco, so what I here enjoyed the most was the long trip by bus to reach Huacachina from Lima. It gave me time to chill out, to think and obviously to overthink. Because you can run far away thousand of kilometers, but it is pretty unlikely that you can run far away from the person you are.

Song of the post: The Ark – The Homecomer
I’ll come home
with a mind of my own,
and a rucksack full of secrets I can show,
while everyone tries to picture
what the homecomer’s eyes have seen.
A Homecomer is
what I always wanted to be.
